Building Codes: Compliant with NFPA 211 standards for chimneys, fireplaces, and solid-fuel appliances.
2. Chimney & Venting Requirements
Chimney Diameter: All models require a standard 6-inch diameter chimney system.
Chimney Type: Must be installed using a 6-inch UL 103 HT (High Temperature 2100°F) certified all-fuel insulated chimney or a properly lined masonry chimney.
Minimum Height: Minimum chimney height of 12 to 15 feet from stove base to chimney cap to ensure proper draft.

3. Clearances & Floor Protection
Clearances to Combustibles: Every model has specific minimum clearance requirements to side and rear walls. Always refer to the metal rating plate on the back of your stove and the model manual.
Floor Protection (Hearth Pad): Must be installed on a non-combustible floor protector extending at least 16 inches in front of the door and 8 inches on each side.
4. Professional Installation
We strongly advise having your stove installed by a certified NFI (National Fireplace Institute) professional, a WETT-certified technician, or a licensed mechanical contractor.
Always consult with your local municipal building department and insurance carrier regarding required permits and local solid-fuel codes prior to installation.
